Updates
On January 15, 2024, the Vestry met with Canon Stephanie Allen from the diocese. She was very helpful in laying out the steps that we will need to take to start the search for a new priest. We are currently putting together the search committee, aiming for 7 individuals who represent a wide range of the variety in our parish. Our goal as a vestry is to have the search committee in place and an official call document to guide that search committee by mid-February .
Interim Search
In December 2024, an interim priest job description was posted on the Diocese of ENC website. As of January 16, 2025, the diocese has not received an application for the interim position. According to our contact in the diocese, interim priests are hard to come by and it is not surprising that we have not had any applications yet, especially with the holidays.
